Responsibilities
Complete the quarterly state rate review process to develop a rate need, communicate results to the actuarial manager, draft a proposal outlining targeted actions, and work with the technology department to implement.
Facilitate rate/rule/form filing creation and submission in SERFF and assemble all required filing exhibits and research filing requirements.
Successfully complete projects leveraging various actuarial topics including trends, reserve development, loss modeling, and more with supervision.
Query, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources to assist in actuarial analyses.
Assemble policy and claim bordereaus for external parties.
Update treaty year financial exhibits to assist in reinsurance placement.
Provide out-of-the-box solutions to complex data and pricing problems while leveraging basic ratemaking and reserving techniques.
Build and enhance our Excel templates to improve ratemaking/reserving processes and efficiencies.
Research competitor and industry data to create exhibits that summarize the results in Excel.

Required
2+ years’ experience in the P&C or related industry.
You’ve passed an actuarial exam.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to work with a remote team in multiple time zones.
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a relevant field is required.
Expert-level MS Excel experience is required.
Preferred
Homeowners, commercial property, catastrophe modeling, and/or reinsurance experience a plus.
Basic skills in various computer programs and languages including but not limited to R, SQL, Dataiku, Tableau, Access, Python, VBA.
