Responsibilities

Conducting research on net zero and decarbonization-related software and services based on the established portfolio of Verdantix methodologies.
Undertaking research interviews with senior managers at corporations and financial firms, as well as executives at technology vendors.
Building quantitative models to size and forecast software and services markets.
Efficiently writing high-quality research documents in English.
Producing reports on technology vendors based on technology briefings.
Supporting client workshops and consulting projects.
Working on consulting projects relating to net zero and decarbonization growth strategies and product marketing thought leadership.
Attending industry events to help raise the profile of Verdantix in the market.
Supporting marketing efforts by writing blogs and engaging in social media activities.

Required

Educated to undergraduate level with a preference for top-tier universities.
5 or more years of experience working with climate data for financial services firms or use cases (financed emissions measurement, portfolio decarbonization, transition planning), either on the buy-side as a client or the sell-side as a provider.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and come up with new ideas.

Preferred

Relevant post-graduate qualifications (Masters or PhD).
Experience in conducting research interviews and contributing to the development of research reports.
Existing subject matter expertise on how financial market participants are using non-financial climate data and tools in order to reduce their risks, pursue new opportunities, and meet current and future regulations.
Insight into the challenges around acquiring, analysing and applying climate data to decision-making processes at financial services firms.
Ability to articulate an informed view of the factors that will influence investors’ climate transition decisions over the next ten years.
