Responsibilities
Maintaining and meeting the planned budget and schedule for the design phase, as well as meeting customer expectations and standards for assigned projects.
Working with analyzer specialist and project manager to confirm the correct design package deliverables for the project.
Assist with the selection of all equipment to support the system design, client specifications, and the analytical equipment specified for the project.
Produce detailed fabrication drawing package including shelter shell and/or rack fabrication drawings, plan views, interior & exterior elevations, simplified P&ID’s, sample system schematics, AC utility wiring, DC wiring, UPS wiring, 480 VAC power distribution, panel schedules, heat tracing, communication (fiber, analog, digital), safety and alarm systems (PLC based and relay logic), utility piping headers and tubing connections, carrier and calibration gas racks / enclosures.
Support Specialist with field surveys and scope development.
Develop project bill of material(s).
Create and expedite material requisitions for purchase of equipment.
Support craftsman, and QA/QC during the fabrication phase of the project, and construction during field installation if applicable.
Finalize “As Build” documentation and complete project closeout procedures.

Required
Design analytical equipment systems for the petrochemical/refining industries
Support project management, analyzer specialist, procurement, and shop craftsman throughout all project phases
Produce detailed fabrication drawing package including shelter shell and/or rack fabrication drawings, plan views, interior & exterior elevations, P&ID's, sample system schematics, wiring diagrams, power distribution, panel schedules, communication systems, safety and alarm systems, utility piping, gas racks/enclosures
Develop project bill of materials
Create and expedite material requisitions for equipment purchase
Support craftsman and QA/QC during fabrication and construction phases
Finalize 'As Build' documentation and complete project closeout procedures
Preferred
A.A.S. in analytical instrumentation technology
5+ years experience with an analyzer integration company, analyzer manufacturer, or EPC as a lead on analyzer projects
Ability to size transformers, specify panelboards, size breakers & conductors, and balance loads
Working knowledge of relay and PLC logic for alarm and shelter monitoring systems
Analytical system integration knowledge including shelters and sample conditioning systems
Knowledge of codes/standards: NEC, NFPA, IEC, API
Knowledge of various analyzers: GC's, TDL, NIR, CEMS, Physical properties, Continuous UV/IR, BTU, Moisture, Total Sulfur, Water Quality
Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD
