Responsibilities

Utilize expertise to design new and existing applications.

Configure code, test, and troubleshoot existing programs.

Analyze end user data and business needs for optimal program/system performance.

Initiate and participate in IT workflow definition and monitoring processes.

Provide application workflow and functional analysis, build and configuration, unit and integrated testing.

Unit test all code and programs prior to release, resolve issues, and collaborate with QA team.

Evaluate dependencies between applications and resolve issues to drive optimal business solutions.

Maintain up-to-date application knowledge and partner with the business to gather requirements.

Troubleshoot and lead root-cause analysis for production issues and system failures.

Provide subject matter expertise to technology and business teams, coach and mentor staff, and share knowledge.

Participate in creating improvements for clinical, satisfaction, and efficiency outcomes.

Provide operational system support, resolve escalated issues, and interact with vendors for problem resolution and upgrades.

Required

Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and related work experience

5+ years of IT application experience

Strong understanding of the Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC)

Demonstrated analytical critical thinking skills for process development or problem resolution

Demonstrated working knowledge and expertise of healthcare processes and application system coordination

Demonstrated knowledge of database structure and working practice of reporting techniques and tools

If supporting Epic, certification in core applications is required within six months of employment

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in IT field

Experience within the Healthcare Industry

Certifications and experience relative to the role

Epic Certifications for Epic roles
