Responsibilities
Develop and maintain robust test automation scripts for backend services using REST APIs, leveraging Java, Selenium, and TestNG as the core technologies.
Implement comprehensive API testing to verify the functionality and integration of various components within our software.
Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand technical requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.
Conduct testing on Mainframe applications, if applicable, and provide valuable insights to enhance the overall testing process.
Work closely with the Product Owner to analyze Acceptance Criteria for user stories and convert them into clear and executable test plans.
Actively participate in daily Scrum meetings, Sprint Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo, and Sprint Retrospective meetings to ensure seamless collaboration within the Agile development environment.
Estimate efforts for test automation development during sprint planning sessions and prioritize tasks to achieve project goals efficiently.
Design and maintain an automation framework that supports continuous integration and delivery, streamlining the testing process.
Perform integration and regression testing to ensure compatibility between new features and existing functionality across different browsers and operating systems.
Utilize Jira and other DevOps tools to track project progress, manage test cases, and log and monitor defects.
Provide mentorship and guidance to other QA team members, promoting best practices and innovative approaches to testing.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies, incorporating them into the testing process to enhance overall product quality.

Required
Highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
Experience in testing backend services using REST APIs
Proficiency in Java, Selenium, and TestNG
Ability to conduct API testing
Exposure to Mainframe technology
Experience in developing and maintaining test automation scripts for backend services using REST APIs
Ability to collaborate with developers and product teams to translate technical requirements into test scenarios and cases
Experience in conducting testing on Mainframe applications
Knowledge of Agile development practices
Experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks
Experience in integration and regression testing
Familiarity with Jira and other DevOps tools
Ability to provide mentorship and guidance to QA team members
Commitment to staying up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies
