Responsibilities
Curate data models, data ETL pipelines, and views in an Azure-based environment.
Extract, retrieve, and analyze data using SQL-based tools.
Bridge the gap between business and technical users to understand and assess requirements.
Adhere to data governance standards and practices.
Develop in an agile environment using Azure boards.

Required
5+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer working in a Microsoft shop
Strong foundation in SQL for data querying and manipulation
Experienced utilizing Azure Data & Analytics PaaS Services - ADF Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL DW)
Experience with Data Cataloging (should know principles), Azure Data Ecosystem, and data warehousing
Purview familiarity/basic literacy when it relates to handling the investigative work needed to 'land' in Purview
Understanding of data governance and security best practices with Purview
Experience with Azure Security Center to include Key Vault and Azure Function App
Expert in building and managing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ETL/ELT processes
Experience designing data models optimized for Azure services like Cosmos DB (NoSQL) and Azure SQL Database (relational)
Preferred
Familiarity with Azure Databricks for distributed data processing
Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data processing automation (beneficial)
