Responsibilities

Develop new and key business relationships in the government marketplace, with a primary responsibility for identifying and developing opportunities for business expansion

Support the development of customer or market penetration strategies and individual opportunity win strategies, account plans, technology development plans, and partnering strategies

Ensure that the business development strategy is implemented

Maintain extensive knowledge of the current developments in the government marketplace in order to assess and improve the position of the company

Make recommendations for change or modification to strategy

Lead teams in order to develop and deliver various professional services solutions to include whitepapers, demonstrations, proposals and other internally developed products used to identify, qualify and capture new business

Emphasize Corporate capabilities, past performance, and outstanding customer support as the foundation for customer satisfaction

Emphasize technical excellence and outstanding customer support as the foundation for customer satisfaction, follow-on work, and marketing

Lead marketing/business development for current and new clients to meet group’s growth goals

Meet with Government and industry customers, partners, and ARA team members on a regular basis to guide, review, and plan future projects

Present company-wide capabilities for various purposes as needed and/or directed, and collaborate with other units in ARA on multi-disciplinary opportunities

Lead proposal efforts and prepare cost estimates in line with ARA and the division’s policies and procedures

Collaborate effectively with other groups/divisions on joint proposals

Required

Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 12+ years of experience OR 20+ years of experience in lieu of degree

At least 10 years as a successful business developer for medium to large opportunities $5M-$500M in the federal space with a portfolio to cite as reference

Motivated to market and develop business, understand the critical nature of this activity to ARA’s growth goals

Desire to grow and build A&AS, SETA, and/or technical areas of interest with an entrepreneurial drive

Demonstrated proposal writing and management skills

Positive presence in front of customers

Strong interpersonal skills; leads by example

Ability to communicate effectively

Strong work ethic; willing to do what it takes and make sacrifices as needed

Persistent; doesn’t give up easily

Demonstrated business acumen

US Citizen, and ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance
