Responsibilities

Identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities in the public transport and fare collection sector.
Develop and implement business strategies to penetrate in the North America and expand the company’s footprint.
Generate leads and pursue new business opportunities with transit authorities, city governments, and private system integrators.
Drive the sales process from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing solutions tailored to their specific fare collection needs.
Present and promote Sigma fare collection solutions in Ticketing Vending Machines, smart card validation equipment and software.
Work with technical teams to customize solutions to meet client requirements.
Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and respond to RFPs (Requests for Proposals).
Negotiate contracts and agreements that align with company goals and ensure client satisfaction.
Collaborate with product development, operations, and marketing teams to align business development efforts with product capabilities.
Provide market feedback to inform product enhancements and innovations.
Track business development metrics and report on progress toward sales targets.
Analyze performance data to refine strategies and improve outcomes.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years in business development, sales, or a related role within the public transport or fare collection industry.
Strong understanding of public transport operations, fare collection systems, and payment technologies.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and closing contracts.
Familiarity with smart ticketing, contactless payment systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex solutions clearly.
Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
Ability to analyze market data and financial reports to inform strategic decisions.
Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings and industry events.

Preferred

MBA is a plus.
