Senior Civil Engineer (Hydraulic)

Responsibilities
Carry out advanced engineering tasks related to hydrology and hydraulics.
Support the implementation of statewide waterway and flood plain management programs.
Review and process water obstruction and encroachment permit applications.
Conduct field investigations and determine jurisdiction under relevant Acts.
Review transportation projects and ensure compliance with regulations.
Assess requests for permit waivers and determinations for dams and water obstructions.

Required
Six years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or
Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; and an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline; or
Two years of professional civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
Possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
