Responsibilities

Learn how to operate Tarana’s equipment and drive in-house execution of test plans of the products.

Methodically conduct in-house pre-compliance tests, compare against emission limits, and document test results for internal review.

Collaborate with external test labs for FCC/ISED formal testing and certification for the wireless product portfolio.

Coordinate compliance activities with cross-functional teams such as system engineers, RF/HW engineers, program managers, and the operations team.

Prepare DUT for formal certification at an outside certification lab.

Review test data, power tables, and official FCC/ETSI test report.

Troubleshoot failing test cases such as out-of-tolerance emissions.

Required

3 - 8 years of experience in RF and EMC Regulatory Compliance

Specializing in wireless devices (AP, Client, CPE)

Experience with RF spectrum parameters testing, radiated/conducted emissions and immunity testing

Detailed knowledge of spectrum analyzers, signal generators and network analyzers

FCC Part 15E for all UNII bands, including 6 GHz and AFC interoperability testing

FCC Part 96 for CBRS, including SAS interoperability testing

EN 302502 testing for 5.8 GHz band; DFS is a plus

EN 55032/35 testing, EN 61000-4-5 surge testing is a plus

Familiarity with array antennas, MU-MIMO and spatial streams, and beamforming

Ability to interpret technical standards, and regulatory rules, and apply into practice

Ability to help out with other lab activities; writing test automation scripts

Must have a BSc/MSc or an equivalent technical degree
