Responsibilities

Supporting the production and reconciliation of financial statements
Preparing, analyzing, and presenting financial information to support operational and strategic decision making
Providing services to the department in a timely and efficient manner
Performing duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of five years accounting or financial analysis experience.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups including senior leaders.
Strong written and oral communication.
Ability to effectively guide co-workers and lead team in completing tasks.
Knowledge of proper financial statement formats and disclosures required.
Computer literacy with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work independently to meet project deadlines.
Ability to work with and preserve confidential information.

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
Healthcare financial reporting experience.
Lawson financial system experience.
Prior experience with Microsoft Access or similar database program.
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
Self-driven and independent, demonstrating an ability to work with minimal supervision to accomplish and carry out goals/objectives.
