Responsibilities

Lead multi-disciplinary project teams in developing solutions for key clients

Engage in project delivery and successful integration of technical leaders in multi-disciplined projects

Serve as lead engineer on mid- to large-size projects

Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise

Approve and sign off on work

Provide technical expertise for studies and design efforts

Present complex technical solutions to clients

Perform quality control reviews of work developed by others

Participate in the development of technical proposals

Provide estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects

Required

BA/BS in Civil Engineering or related study + 8 years of relevant experience OR demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

California Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Preferred

10-15 years of relevant experience including dam analysis, investigation, design, construction, project management.

Masters degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.

Heavy civil construction design experience

Strong writing and communication skills

Business development for new and existing clients, prepare engineering services proposals, cost estimates, and schedules.

Experience managing engineering staff preferred but not required.
