Responsibilities

Write, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries across large datasets to extract, analyze, and generate actionable insights. Extensive SQL experience is essential

Use Python scripts, SQL Server Management Studio (or similar) tools to manipulate and extract data for reporting and analysis

Identify trends, anomalies, and patterns in data related to payment systems, credit card transactions, and fraud detection. Translate these patterns into meaningful business insights

Develop creative data visualizations and dashboards to present findings clearly, ensuring data is easy to understand and drives decision-making

Lead client-facing discovery meetings to gather requirements, present insights, and provide recommendations. Maintain excellent communication and foster strong relationships with clients

Manage and respond to client and internal support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLAs

Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and security of data models, reports, and dashboards

Required

A bachelor’s degree in data sciences, Finance, Computer Science, or related field (master’s preferred or equivalent experience)

7+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, with a heavy focus on SQL query development

Strong ability to spot anomalies, trends, and patterns in data, turning raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions

Demonstrated experience creating innovative data visualizations and dashboards, focusing on user experience and clarity

Proven track record of working directly with customers, leading discussions, and translating complex data into clear, business-focused insights

Experience in Python, data management tools (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL), and familiarity with AI programming and machine learning is a plus

Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Experience with machine learning or predictive analytics

Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI)

Knowledge of fraud analytics or payment system compliance

Comfort architecting Data Stores

Experience managing azure resources in the cloud
