Responsibilities

Ensure timely and accurate delivery of premium content for Bloomberg's private equity product
Gain deep knowledge of the private equity dataset and the end-to-end processes involved in how our data product is created
Use domain expertise to help Account Managers, Technical Specialists, and Product Managers to better understand our clients' data needs, key market trends, and gaps in our dataset
Lead and expand relationships with a wide range of products partners across the organization (News, Research, Engineering, etc.) who consume our data
Identify unique themes that may impact private markets and generate data models, commentary, and forecasts to support arguments
Set and maintain methodologies and data dictionary for the private equity dataset
Provide in-depth customer support to users of Bloomberg data products by resolving inquiries in a timely manner
Lead ad-hoc projects to optimize processes and improve the quality of the datasets

Required

A Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant data technology or financial field, or equivalent professional work experience
4+ years of work experience in the Financial Services industry, including exchanges, market data providers, consultancies, institutional investors, private equity, credit firms, or financial institutions
Strong understanding of financial concepts such as valuation techniques, internal rate of return, portfolio management and more
Deep understanding of private financial markets and the investment lifecycle
Strong interest in M&A and financial markets more broadly
Ability to think critically and creatively about new ways our data can add value to our clients
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple client queries and projects simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when articulating your ideas to diverse audiences
Experience working on data projects, querying large databases and using analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python
Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States and will not require visa sponsorship

Preferred

Certification such as a CFA charter holder or CAIA
Experience in using business intelligence to identify gaps and trends, insights or opportunities for product improvements
