Responsibilities
Work directly with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate metrics into actionable insights
Collaborate with customers within various teams: Product, Finance, Outreach, Marketing, Communications, and others
Build dashboards and reports to enable stakeholders to make data-informed decisions
Present insights and discoveries verbally, visually, and in writing on a regular basis
Suggest and surface improvements to data models
Troubleshoot issues in dashboards, reports, and other data deliverables
Gather data requirements supporting new data product requests
Collaborate with colleagues through code reviews and technical design
Add to existing dbt pipelines or create new ones from scratch
Serve as a resource and thought partner to colleagues
Build and maintain subject matter expertise in ActBlue’s operations and generate recommendations on growing ActBlue’s analytical capabilities
Act as an empathetic and knowledgeable partner to stakeholders, committed to their mission success
Participate in the on-call rotation

Required
3-5 years experience in a data analytics, business intelligence, or data science role
Strong comfort and proficiency in SQL and Python or R to solve for business problems
3+ years of working with business intelligence tools such as Mixpanel and Looker
Strong ability to self prioritize, work independently, and balance competing priorities
3+ years of analytics experience in marketing, product, finance, or sales
Demonstrated ability to break down ambiguous analysis requests into logical sequences towards a solution
Experience with statistical analysis and techniques such as logistic regression, forecasting, and significance testing OR Applied statistics or mathematical analysis in a business environment such as descriptive statistics, testing, and modeling (logistic and linear regression)
Outstanding stakeholder orientation and a strong desire to be of service.
Preferred
Experience with dbt a plus
Experience with data modeling and data warehousing a plus
Experience working on an Agile team a plus
Experience with version control such as Github
Pluses: political or non-profit experience either professional or volunteer
