Responsibilities
Use tools like Dataflow, Apache Beam, and BigQuery to create robust data pipelines
Orchestrate data processing using Airflow
Collect, process/enrich, and schedule data from third-party and vendor APIs
Protect players' PII and ensure data compliance across the data stack
Build and support tools for internal teams to run experiments and access data
Support query design, review, and enable team members to share data
Bring new data sources online and set up new pipelines
Collaborate with and mentor analysts/data-scientists in building scalable analyses and datasets
Contribute to comprehensive documentation of tools and datasets

Required
Data engineering experience
Built and maintained data pipelines in production at large scale
Experience with data engineering questions relevant to a freemium subscription/gaming business
Experience with engagement & monetization data, tooling for prediction & AB-testing
Experience with tools like Dataflow, Apache Beam, and BigQuery
Experience orchestrating data processing using Airflow
Experience collecting, processing/enriching, and scheduling data from third-party and vendor APIs
Experience in protecting players' PII and supporting data compliance
Experience in building and supporting tools for internal teams to run experiments and access data
Experience in supporting query design and review, enabling team members to share data
Experience in bringing new data sources online and setting up new pipelines
Experience in collaborating with and mentoring analysts/data-scientists
Experience in contributing to comprehensive documentation of tools and datasets
Strong coding & SQL skills (Python, BigQuery, some MySQL)
Preferred
8+ years of data engineering experience
Strong collaboration and communication skills in a fully distributed team
Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and effective communication
Experience working with data in a cloud environment & deploying infrastructure as code through Terraform
Experience in conducting ETL/ELT with large datasets and handling DAG data dependencies using Airflow
Value building strong relationships with colleagues and partners
Enjoy mentoring and guiding others
Ability to explain complex topics in simple terms
Proven track record of being proactive, planning effectively, and finding paths forward when blockers arise
