Responsibilities
Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for the physical data structures, data integration, build, and care of solutions
Develop ELT processes and frameworks to efficiently extract, load, and transform data from various sources
Demonstrate commitment to software development best practices, including documentation, reusable code design, test driven implementation, and integrated software testing
Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines to ensure high data quality and availability
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will build data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader
Investigate and mitigate data quality issues

Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering-related field or equivalent work experience
At least 8 years of professional experience in data engineering
Hands-on data engineering experience with GCP cloud data ecosystem
Hands-on data engineering experience with cloud-based relational database platforms, preferably Snowflake
Hands-on experience with modern ELT transformation tools, preferably dbt
Experience with workflow orchestration/scheduling solutions, preferably Airflow
Experience migrating from legacy to new data pipelines
Experience creating synthetic test data for data pipelines
Experience delivering software on at least 2 projects with a total project team size greater than 4 team members
Applied experience in Agile, SAFe, or Scrum
Solid understanding of dimensional data modeling (star schema) concepts
Solid understanding of modern cloud-based data architecture and ELT processes
Solid understanding of Medallion architecture
Solid understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data design
Understanding of the theory and application of Continuous Integration/Delivery
Strong attention to detail, problem solving ability, ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
Strong SQL writing and optimizing skills for cloud-based relational database platforms, preferably Snowflake
Strong proficiency in Python
Able to troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines
Able to build and deploy automated cloud-based data pipelines
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and assistance
Preferred
Familiarity with SAP systems (ECC, C4C, S4 HANA) a plus
Nice to have experience consuming and developing REST APIs, preferably with GraphQL
Nice-to-have experience implementing observability solutions
