Responsibilities
Utilize Data Governance experience to guide data teams in improving data security, quality, and management practices.
Engineer solutions for metadata harvesting, lineage, and logic for data governance tools.
Manage administrator functions within data governance tools.
Build data models, pipelines, apply transformations, and create tables to support metadata, security, quality, or compliance reporting needs.
Monitor data quality to ensure accuracy and availability for stakeholders and business processes.
Perform code reviews, write unit test cases, and document design concepts.
Perform analysis to troubleshoot data and metadata issues and drive resolutions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with business and technical teams on projects and troubleshooting.
Assist in creating, planning, and implementing strategic goals of the Data Governance team.

Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
5-7 years of experience as a Data Engineer (intermediate or senior)
Expert skills in SQL for database design, querying, and optimization
Advanced experience in Python for data manipulation
Strong experience with data governance and security best practices
Strong proficiency in data modeling and schema design
Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies
Advanced knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
Ability to design and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines specifically related to data governance
Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, AWS, Azure, GCP)
Familiarity with data streaming technologies (e.g., Apache, Kafka)
Understanding of DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment
Experience with real-time data processing and analytics
Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) for code management
