Responsibilities

Standardize, document, and generate core metrics for the business and product across multiple teams

Instrument new initiatives and develop metrics to measure their impact

Generate insights into the impact of new features on product releases

Utilize analytical and statistical approaches to identify trends in historical data

Present findings to diverse audiences, including executives

Re-evaluate existing data infrastructure and dashboards for usability

Provide training sessions to enable other teams to self-serve in BI tools

Collaborate with the data team to develop new products based on data

Required

5+ years of analytics experience either in product analytics or data science

Excellent communication skills

Ability to use data to make decisions

Self-starter who can build relationships across the company

Ability to prioritize work and partner with team members

Understanding of methods or technologies to solve problems

Knowledge of when data can and should be used to improve Carta

Attention to detail

Comfortable presenting to diverse audiences

Experience in standardizing, documenting, and generating core metrics for business and product

Ability to instrument new initiatives and come up with metrics to measure them

Skills in generating insights into how new features can impact a product release

Proficiency in using analytical and statistical approaches to identify trends in historical data

Experience in presenting findings to executives

Experience in providing training sessions to teach others to self-serve in BI tools

Collaboration skills to work with the data team on new products based on data

Preferred

Experience working with SQL (postgres, redshift)

Proficiency in Python

Familiarity with Looker / Metabase

Knowledge of Dbt
