Responsibilities

Model Development: Design, develop, and implement advanced algorithms for dynamic inventory placement.

Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights and refine model inputs, including forecasts and cost structures.

Optimization and Machine Learning: Employ optimization and machine learning techniques in inventory placement to improve efficiency and reduce costs across the network.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and supply chain specialists, merchandisers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration and implementation of models.

Required

Master's degree in Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

PhD in Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 2+ years of experience post grad school

Outstanding skills in programming in Python, SQL/Spark; statistics, machine learning, and optimization tools

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field

Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 years' experience in an analytics related field

5 years' experience in an analytics or related field

Preferred

Data science, machine learning, optimization models

Master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics

Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R

Using open source frameworks (for example, scikit learn, tensorflow, torch)

Background in creating inclusive digital experiences and knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly

Knowledge of accessibility best practices and experience in creating accessible products and services following Walmart's accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture
