Responsibilities
Discover business narratives told by the data and communicate them to other teammates, managers, radiologists, and stakeholders.
Perform data exploration and data mining and apply statistical/ML models using database, and/or general programming languages/tools.
Apply statistical methodologies to determine appropriate significance tests, sample sizes, and confidence intervals, ensuring the robustness and reliability of data insights to inform decision-making.
Evaluate and select appropriate statistical models and methods, such as hypothesis testing, Bayesian inference, and regression analysis, to ensure the accuracy and relevance of data-driven insights in clinical and operational settings.
Conduct research of and lead collaborations on design thinking, implementation, and validation of solution components using cutting-edge algorithms to analyze diverse data to achieve clinical initiatives and support practice objectives.
Write optimized code and perform team code review for production-worthy software solutions, giving feedback to teammates, where appropriate, on opportunities for improvement of coding practices.
Identify areas where automation could increase team efficiency and independently design and implement useful automated solutions.
Manage the creation of and contribute to business intelligence, dashboards, visualizations, and/or other advanced analytics metrics and reports to adequately tell the business narrative and offer recommendations that are actionable and have material impact.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior teammates, modeling effective working relationships and solution-building that demonstrates RP Practice values.
Other tasks as assigned to meet team commitments.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Applied Math, or other quantitative fields and minimum 6 years of experience in quantitative analysis, data science, or related field; Master’s degree + minimum of 4 years or PhD + minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred.
A creative mind with outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with LLMs and implementing them in practical applications.
Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques/approaches and algorithms.
Experience with ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured data is useful.
Familiarity with software tools/practices such as Git and unit/integration testing.
Functional experience working within Cloud platforms, preferably AWS and/or GCP.
Experience with cloud implementation and optimization of ML models is strongly desired.
Experience with query languages and SQL databases and/or NoSQL databases.
Experience teaching and/or mentoring others in technical and/or general collaboration techniques.
Exceptional coding skills in Python and familiarity with natural language processing and regex; other coding experience is a plus.
Ability to thrive in collaborative and independent work environments.
Ability to quickly learn and independently support existing products.
Comfortable interacting with business peers and SMEs to understand and identify use cases and able to articulate solutions.
Extensive experience professionally communicating technical concepts to other technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred
Experience in the healthcare industry is desirable, but not required.
Familiarity with “Agile” and/or “Scrum” development cycles is preferred.
