Responsibilities

Delivering Insights to Healthcare Clients

• Leverage Siftwell’s proprietary data science platform to provide actionable insights for internal teams and external healthcare clients.

Product Development

• In partnership with the CTO and VP of Data Science and Strategy, develop and implement advanced predictive analytics models and algorithms to solve complex healthcare challenges and improve patient outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, customer success, and business development to integrate data science solutions into our products and services.

Research and Innovation

• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science and machine learning and identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

Security, Compliance and Ethics.

• Comply with the company’s Security and Privacy Policies, regulatory requirements and the associated ethical and security standards for handling healthcare data and patient information.

• Maintain the security of the information assets and resources to which you have been granted access.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field (master's or Ph.D. is a plus).

6+ years of experience in data science and predictive analytics, or 4+ years with an advanced degree. Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.

Exceptional coding skills in Python, with a portfolio of prior work to demonstrate it.

Demonstrated experience with data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., pandas, NumPy, boto3, shap, xgboost, umap, sklearn).

Comfort with using generate AI tools for coding.

Proven competence in independently solving complex data science tasks.

Experience with big data technologies and platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, AWS) and proficiency in SQL databases.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Strong business acumen and the ability to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations.

Genuine excitement about the dynamic and fast-paced nature of a startup culture.
