Responsibilities
Develop and integrate machine learning models to solve critical business problems
Research, prototype, and deploy emerging tools and techniques in machine learning, statistical modeling & analytics
Work with your teammates on maintaining, maturing, and growing our catalog of deployed machine learning features
Develop research questions and undertake data exploration to understand who our users are, how they get value out of our library, and where we can develop our product to bring greater value
Analyze data sets, transforming raw intelligence into concise and actionable insights
Investigate interesting edge cases and odd unexpected model behaviors
Triage and/or debug production issues
Work closely with our team of analysts, product managers, and data engineers to build impactful, lasting, productions-scale data science solutions
Design, analyze, and interpret the results of A/B tests
Perform exploratory analyses to understand and monitor the performance of our machine learning systems
Communicate the value of data science solutions to business

Required
3+ years relevant applied experience in data science, machine learning, computer vision, or NLP (or very strong engineering skills and the ability to learn quickly!)
Strong coding skills in Python
Experience with and curiosity about multiple types of data
A strong understanding of data science best practices and statistics
Technical competence to perform advanced analytics and building machine learning models
Experience with MLOps tools, platforms, and standards (e.g. mlflow, airflow, databricks, sagemaker)
Experience with standard engineering best practices (version control, virtualization, deployment pipelines)
Able to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred
Experience with spark, scala, and databricks
