Responsibilities

Apply the latest industry advancements to improve infrastructure reliability, scalability, performance, and repeatability of setup and deployment.

Responsible for infrastructure setup, configuration, deployment, and maintenance.

Create and maintain automated systems for continuous integration and continuous deployment.

Work on multiple tasks in support of one or more projects that require a singular area of expertise.

Work as a project team member, or independently on small projects.

Increase your skill in multiple technical environments and knowledge of a specific business area.

Create and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure that any unexpected issues are promptly identified and escalated.

Work collaboratively as a team player to develop mutually acceptable solutions among Development, Information Technology and Product Teams.

Solve problems and provide support, taking responsibility to make decisions when appropriate.

Understand applications from technical architecture and business goals perspective to apply DevOps best practices.

Excellent communications skills with the ability to share insights and expectations with clients, stakeholders and colleagues, both locally and remote.

Required

5+ years of direct experience in DevOps, Networking or System Administration role.

Substantial experience working on the command line with a 'nix flavour or equivalent.

Experience with VueJS

Experience scripting and automating deployments and management of IT solutions.

Broad understanding of tools and technologies with a preference for Amazon Web Services (AWS), Jenkins, and Git.

Source Control (Git, Bitbucket)

Continuous Integration (Jenkins, Bamboo)

Infrastructure Automation (Puppet, Ansible)

Deployment Automation & Orchestration (Jenkins, Ansible)

Container Concepts (LXD, Docker)

Orchestration (Kubernetes, Swarm)

Cloud (AWS)

Build and deployment of cloud-based and hybrid-cloud solutions with Jenkins, Git.

Strong operational experience in Linux/Unix environment and scripting (Python, Perl, Shell).

Experience with configuration, automation management, health checks, single point of failure, notifications in AWS environments.

Excellent communications skills with the ability to share insights and expectations with clients, stakeholders and colleagues, both locally and remote.
