Responsibilities
Work closely with the CCO and other members of the Senior Management Team to drive sales and business strategy aligned with financial objectives.
Lead and execute sales and business development initiatives, including partner identification, outreach, negotiations, and executing business opportunities.
Provide knowledge of the business segment, trends, and observations of the territory to galvanize the commercial strategy.
Develop business analyses to support sales pipeline valuation and evaluate changes in the competitive landscape.
Cultivate strong cross-functional partnerships with various teams to support commercial opportunities.
Lead client and internal meetings, presentations, and discussions related to business development opportunities.
Anticipate problems, remove obstacles, and drive opportunities forward.
Develop and grow the customer base for the assigned territory, focusing on lead generation and nurturing.
Engage in lead generation activities, networking events, and associations to drive business growth.
Possess expertise in Drug Substance/Drug Product market and Gene Therapy development processes.
Demonstrate excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
Travel as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
Maintain a client-focused mindset, integrity, and attention to detail in all job functions.

Required
An advanced degree (MS and/or MBA) preferred but not required and/or significant exposure to CDMO sales.
Has spent time in the Gene Therapy space on the technical or selling side.
Is adept in working in a fast-paced environment such as a startup and has the experience to use process and continuous process improvement.
Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) including data interpretation and reporting.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive work environment.
Must possess a client-focused mindset in daily tasks.
Must possess prior experience handling confidential information and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Exercise discretion, judgment, and personal responsibility.
Demonstrate a high level of integrity and a positive attitude.
Attention to detail in all job functions.
Work to specific measurable objectives requiring planning skills with little direct supervision involved in the development of those objectives.
Cultivate a diverse and collaborative team environment. Utilizes clear and concise communication to ensure high productivity and contribution to the success of department goals.
Travel required as necessary.
Ultimate responsibility in customer relations.
Preferred
Ideally fluent in both the Drug Substance/Drug Product market and the Gene Therapy development processes and have prior exposure to commercialization of both in the CDMO service market.
