Responsibilities
Design Leadership: Lead the electrical design process for new and existing data center facilities, including power distribution systems, lighting, grounding, and backup power solutions.
Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet all specifications and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, architects, and construction managers, to ensure integrated design solutions.
Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance on electrical systems, including low voltage, high voltage, and emergency power systems (UPS, generators).
Standards Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards (NEC, IEEE), and best practices in data center operations.
Site Assessments: Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate existing systems and recommend upgrades or improvements.
Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development through knowledge sharing and training.
Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and innovations in data center design and electrical engineering.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 13 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on data center design and operations
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and electrical analysis tools
Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and best practices applicable to data centers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to project challenges
Willingness to travel up to 10% to job sites
