Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain scalable solutions to business requirements using Kotlin. Work closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers and frontend web engineers on the feature delivery team to ensure timely delivery of features.

Participate in agile ceremonies to plan work for sprints.

Conduct peer code review and contribute to coding standards. Write unit tests and promote a variety of good engineering best practices.

Diagnose and resolve production issues, providing timely support and fixes. Use Firebase and other monitoring tools to analyze crash and error logs. Identify and resolve performance issues.

Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance. Lead by example and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Required

7+ years of experience in developing Android apps with a history of launching successful projects

Understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, object-oriented-programming (OOP), frameworks and technologies

Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party libraries and API’s

Solid understanding of mobile application design patterns and software architecture principles

Kotlin and Java programming skills

Understanding of the Android SDK and Performance monitoring tools

Experience developing and delivering using Agile methodologies

Partner with product, design, QA and fellow engineers to determine the best way to meet business requirements

Review code for others on the team and provide thoughtful feedback

Proactively monitor and improve the technical performance of the app

Participate in technical discussions with fellow engineers
