Responsibilities

Innovate in Ad Tech: Leverage Ad Tech environment to design and implement ML systems that improve advertising effectiveness and user engagement within the digital landscape.
Develop ML and DL Systems: Design, build, and iterate on machine learning and deep learning systems, ensuring they align with our strategic goals.
Experimentation and Collaboration: Conduct rigorous ML experiments and tests, synthesizing findings to inform development. Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders across functions to capture and translate machine learning needs into robust solutions.
Optimize Data Pipelines: Architect and refine data pipelines, ensuring efficient data flow and processing for optimal ML model performance.
Continuous Learning and Improvement: Commit to ongoing enhancement of ML models, incorporating retraining and monitoring, and stay abreast of emerging trends in machine learning, ad tech, and generative AI.
Design and develop machine learning and deep learning systems to support United’s digital products
Run machine learning tests and experiments, documenting findings and results
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand machine learning needs and requirements
Construct optimized data pipelines to feed machine learning models
Continuously improve machine learning models, training, retraining, and monitoring systems and models as needed
Stay up to date with new technologies and best practices in machine learning

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
2-5 years hands-on industry experience in ML Engineering (or equivalent quantitative job title)
Deep technical knowledge of machine learning
Ability to write code in Python, Java, and R
Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries (TensorFlow, Pytorch, Keras, Scikit-Learn, Spark MLib, Langchain etc.)
Understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture
Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams from tech, design, and business and experience leading teams in an agile setting
Ability to communicate and explain data and its implications to various stakeholders
Ability to evaluate different options proactively and to tackle problems in an innovative way, developing new solutions or combining existing methods to build new approaches
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

Advanced Computer Engineering degree
Experience with advertising technology (AdTech), particularly in designing solutions that enhance ad targeting, measurement, and optimization.
Familiarity or hands-on experience with generative AI and large language models, understanding their potential impact on machine learning and ad tech innovations.
