Responsibilities
Scoping, planning, and leading projects centered on cost reductions, quality improvements, process/product transfers between manufacturing sites, and in support of R&D activities.
Developing manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
Providing guidance to Engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Identifying and evaluating suppliers, qualifying components, tooling, equipment, and assembly processes, partnering with Procurement, Suppliers, and Manufacturing Engineering as required to assure capacity and improve business continuity.
Qualifying alternate materials and/or components for either risk mitigation, cost improvement, or because of obsolescence.
Assuring assembly process is developed and documented.
Managing and maintaining product cost accuracy for product transfers and new product introductions.
Assuring BOM’s are entered and maintained correctly. Also addressing requests from other departments related to BOM’s and components. Confirming product costs are accurate and rolled.
Addressing any component or product quality issue assigned, determining root cause and completing corrective actions.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
