Responsibilities
Managing a team of individual contributors and leading them in providing value to our stakeholders
Prioritizing and communicating the roadmap for CloudOps, selecting projects that find the ideal balance between short term productivity, company objectives, and long term organization health
Vendor negotiations for services this team manages
Supporting the humans on the team, helping them to grow and flourish
Collaborating with QA, Engineering, and Security managers across the organization on improving the software development process, identifying and eliminating bottlenecks to empower the team to deliver with the least amount of friction
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement cloud best practices.
Improve the security, performance, scalability, and reliability of existing services.

Required
Experience as an Engineering Manager leading a Cloud Operations team.
Strong technical understanding of how software is built and operated.
Experience with InfraOps, DataOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and WebOps.
Ability to manage a team of individual contributors and lead them in providing value to stakeholders.
Experience in prioritizing and communicating the roadmap for CloudOps.
Experience in vendor negotiations for services managed by the team.
Ability to support team members in their growth and development.
Experience collaborating with QA, Engineering, and Security managers to improve software development processes.
Experience implementing cloud best practices.
Experience improving security, performance, scalability, and reliability of existing services.
Empathetic leadership style that fosters team potential.
Organizational skills to maintain systems and ensure details are managed.
Pragmatic approach to team management and problem-solving.
