Responsibilities
Planned, organized, scheduled, assigned, coordinated, and directed the activities of project staff.
Established task budgets and time schedules and coordinated with the overall project.
Conducted research and prepared technical sections for environmental documents.
Reviewed research and written materials submitted by staff and suggested any improvements.
Managed administration of clients and sub-consultant contracts, project budgets, and billings.
Reviewed contractual terms and identified potential conflicts.
Prepared project invoices, approved sub-consultant invoices, and monitored accounts receivables in a timely and effective manner.
Provided input for long-range financial planning (i.e., 3- to 6-month workload projections).
Participated in staff training programs.
Conducted and participated in public and private sector project meetings, including making presentations to the public during scoping, community meetings, and public hearings.
Developed project opportunities through proactive marketing of the firm.
Coordinated and prepared proposal and qualification packages with the Marketing Department.
Prepared fee, schedule, and scope of work for proposals. Provided opportunities to maximize profitability.
Assisted marketing efforts by providing complete project descriptions on current projects and updating resumes as needed.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Planning, Geography, or a related field
7+ years' of professional experience in the environmental and/or planning field
Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of the environmental consulting industry, including the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and/or National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and their processing requirements
Business Development experience with strong client relations skills
2+ years' experience managing large-scale projects/programs (>$1M in revenue)
Experience in managing large compliance programs, project management techniques, marketing and proposal preparation, and financial management principles and practices
Preferred
Prior Supervisory and training experience is highly desired
