Responsibilities

Lead site deliverables and maintain schedules for customers

Document changes in scope and site delays

Interface with Project Manager and product engineering team

Complete project and daily reports including safety plans and field service reports

Ensure compliance with all safety requirements

Lead a site commissioning team and maintain interface with product engineering team

Travel at least 80 percent of the time

Required

Bachelor Degree with a minimum of 8 years of field commissioning experience as a site lead engineer preferred

Field experience and technical training can be accepted in lieu of degree

PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) programming and interface to Paralleling Switchgear Design

PLC, RTU (Remote Terminal Unit), DCS (Distributed control system) and Computer controlled SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems with a focus on power delivery equipment and paralleling switchgear operations and mandatory understanding of power delivery equipment as it pertains to data center and healthcare application

SCADA, HMI (Human Machine Interface) or GUI (Graphical user interface) all are operator interfaces mostly developed around Complicity, Wonderware, infix (Proficiency), Citect and RS View applications and the ability to create the graphic interface the customer uses to operate and manage the system

Fundamental understanding of hardware network design and various communication protocols such as Control Net, Modbus, ProfNet, etc., and this involves polling or extracting information out of the field devices

Ability to interpret the protective relay settings in relationship to the system

Deep understanding of distribute energy resources (diesel generator, steam/gas turbines, solar, wind, hydro and battery storage systems that can island or operate in parallel with the utility grid is helpful

Knowledge of synchronization hardware such as Woodward Governor is essential and ability to read and understand system one lines, power three lines and equipment control and layout drawings

Operation, controls and testing of all aspects of low voltage and medium voltage switch gear

Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
