Responsibilities
Manage and maintain control over the accrued liabilities by conducting detailed analyses on a quarterly basis.
Assist with uploading accrual rates to PeopleSoft monthly.
Analyze material changes in accrual rates and communicate findings to the manager.
Contact State Government Affairs for information on new insolvencies.
Organize information for quarterly financial meetings and prepare necessary journal entries.
Conduct research to provide answers to accrual-related inquiries.
Review reconciliation procedures under Sox control 4095 quarterly.
Ensure timely entry of quarterly reconciliations into Blackline Reconciliation Tool.
Complete assigned quarterly surcharge account reconciliations and prepare necessary analyses.
Perform quarterly Sox control audit of large payments processed.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams and self-manage processes.

Required
B.S. degree in finance or accounting
3 – 5 years of experience in financial/accounting and/or insurance areas
Excellent communications skills to articulate viewpoints/positions to various levels of internal management
Excellent data analysis skills and effective problem-solving ability
Ability to work effectively on a team as well as individually to self-manage own processes
Preferred
Experience with data mining/query applications, such as Cognos, Hyperion, Qlik, etc.
Advanced skill level in Excel
Experience with Peoplesoft Financials
