Responsibilities

Act as a financial advisor to business leaders within sales, services, renewals, and customer support teams, providing strategic insights and financial guidance

Develop and maintain relationships with operational leaders to understand their business needs and challenges

Lead financial planning and analysis for customer-facing and customer support teams, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning

Ensure accuracy and alignment of financial plans with the company’s strategic objectives for these specific areas of responsibility

Collaborate with sales, services, renewals, and customer support teams to identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue growth, and process improvements, focusing on SaaS metrics such as ARR, churn rate, and LTV

Develop and implement performance metrics and dashboards to monitor key business drivers and track progress against strategic initiatives

Drive cross-functional projects aimed at improving financial and operational processes, leveraging best practices and innovative solutions specific to the SaaS industry

Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and strategic relevance

Identify financial risks and opportunities within the customer-facing and customer support teams and develop mitigation strategies

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, maintaining a robust control environment

Required

6-8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a track record of partnering with business leaders to drive performance, preferably in a SaaS environment

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among senior leadership

Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and performance management tools (Excel and Anaplan preferred)

Ability to see the big picture and align financial strategies with organizational goals in the SaaS industry

Deep understanding of business operations and industry dynamics, particularly within SaaS

Ability to inspire and guide teams towards achieving business objectives without direct reporting lines

Strong ability to work cross-functionally and build effective partnerships

Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing innovative solutions

Results-driven with a passion for driving business improvements and achieving financial excellence

Adaptable and resilient, able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

High integrity and ethical standards, with a commitment to transparency and accountability

Preferred

Enterprise SaaS experience is highly preferred

A professional qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred; CFA or equivalent qualification is a plus
