Responsibilities
Help us build both exciting enhancements and brand new products.
Assist others through code review and mentorship.
Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex issues independently.
Articulate technical challenges and solutions to a varied audience.
Leverage 3rd party APIs as well as maintaining and building the versioning of internal and external 1st party APIs.
Work collaboratively within a distributed team.

Required
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Advanced proficiency in a scripting language such as Python, JavaScript, PHP, Ruby, etc.
Strong grasp of software optimization, scalable architecture, and the application of design patterns and best practices
Proven track record of unblocking themselves and assisting others through code review and mentorship
Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve complex issues independently
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions to a varied audience
Strong comfort with both leveraging 3rd party APIs as well as maintaining and building the versioning of internal and external 1st party APIs
Firm grasp on Agile software development methodologies
Enjoy working collaboratively within a distributed team
Comfort in working with containerization (Docker ideally)
Preferred
5+ years of experience in software engineering
3+ years of experience with some form of SQL (PostgresQL experience is a plus)
Python/Django web framework
Javascript/Node/React experience
