Responsibilities
Develop a fundraising strategy and outreach plan for generating major sponsorship support, identify prospects, and establish a process for managing and tracking progress. Oversee all fundraising activities with multiple stakeholders.
Connect with and secure funds from potential and current donors to meet the fundraising goal.
Create a compelling donor value proposition targeted towards specific government, corporate and philanthropic institutions. Work closely with GABI team and events team to help shape programming to support donor deliverables.
Recommend appropriate partnership proposals, goals and outcomes.
Drive delivery of the plan, tracking progress, establishing relationships with internal and external partners as appropriate and supporting colleagues who have relationships and can help fundraise.
Ensure funders receive full reports and benefits as agreed upon in agreement.
Analyze and track best practice and make recommendations to shape UN Global Compact strategies going forward.

Required
A first-level university degree in business administration, international relations, management, economics, political science, social science or related field
15+ years of solid experience in a field related to partnerships, corporate philanthropy, fundraising or account management
Experience working with leading private sector businesses and philanthropies in Africa and/or with a strong presence on the continent
Knowledge of key private-sector leaders and voices in Africa that align with the vision to amplify Africa is required
Proficiency in English is required
Preferred
Graduate-level degree in law, business, corporate sustainability, or similar field
Existing relationships with aforementioned key leaders and/or private-sector companies/philanthropies on the continent
Experience with Salesforce
