Responsibilities
Create integration client experiences via sample and in-progress multiplayer games that showcase user-generated content capabilities.
Oversee the Unreal Engine architecture and design patterns to ensure a performant, stable, and extendible codebase.
Utilize and expand on existing cloud-hosted services for game integrations.
Utilize and expand on game SDKs that connect to services.
Write clean, SOLID code that promotes coding standards.
Contribute to coding standards.
Author and review technical design documents and API specifications detailing software requirements.
Blend security best practices and original techniques to keep user data secure and prevent cheating.
Support and troubleshoot inbound requests from studios and partners.
Maintain a suite of automated tests that validate the correctness of backend services.

Required
Bachelor/Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
8+ years of job experience in a hands-on coding role
You've shipped or prototyped multiple games with Unreal Engine or Unity
Expertise with Unreal Engine architecture best practices
Expertise with C++ and UE Blueprints. You also have experience with some of the following languages: C#, TypeScript, Java/Kotlin, or Go
Experience with terminal, bash, and command line interfaces
You have mentored team members to help them grow their skills, while ensuring code remains performant, scalable, and stable
You have implemented or contributed to real-time multiplayer architecture
You develop high-quality, testable software
You have a desire to work with server engineers and designers to integrate their capabilities into games
You have experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment
You're willing to iterate quickly and develop prototypes
You have a desire to teach and learn from your peers
Preferred
Unity experience
You have worked on multiple aspects of a game (ie engine, systems, tooling, networking)
You've shipped and maintained a framework library that has been utilized by partners
You have experience building scalable services and deploying them to Kubernetes
You have experience working with cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc)
