Responsibilities
Work alongside a team of high-performing engineering and technical professionals.
Review engineering reports, drawings, and specifications.
Work in a multi-disciplinary environment with other technical disciplines to fulfill project scope and responsibilities.
Manage/oversee geotechnical field investigations, construction observation, engineering evaluations, and technical analyses completed by junior staff.
Prepare technical reports and summaries.
Interface directly and consult with agencies, clients, co-workers, and stakeholders to communicate findings and make recommendations.
Complete, review, and sign off on/approve technical analyses prepared by others, including shallow and foundation design, support of excavation, slope stability, ground improvement, and other geotechnical analyses.
Lead by example and build an inclusive culture that fosters team growth, learning, creative solutions, and environment and client-focused outcomes.
Actively participate in your career growth, including joining elective continuing education courses, being involved in community and professional societies, and managing projects and experiences that stretch you outside of your comfort zone to grow you as a professional.
Travel can be expected for company meetings to any of the company locations, including NJ, NY, TX, VA, OH, and AL.
Travel to supervise and/or train staff on project sites may be required.

Required
Must be a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) (Required)
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Required)
Valid U.S. Driver’s License and reliable means of transportation.
Must currently reside in the U.S.A.
5-12+ years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer.
3+ years of experience as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer (P.E.).
Experience planning, managing, and implementing large-scale subsurface geotechnical investigation programs, related laboratory testing, foundation design, preparation of contract documents, and geotechnical project management.
Experience mentoring, leading, and managing at least 3 technical direct reports.
Strong business development, consulting, and client relations background and experience that is proven by examples and references.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products/programs.
Deep knowledge and experience with geotechnical software, including gINT, GeoStudio, LPILE, ALLPILE, DeepEx, and PLAXIS.
Experience in geophysical testing and evaluations, including active and passive MASW and ERI.
Knowledge and experience in Renewable Energy, including managing and implementing oil and gas and onshore/offshore wind projects (in the U.S.).
Strong experience with trenchless technologies, such as jack-and-bore, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), micro tunneling, and geotechnical investigations and reporting to support these technologies.
Flexibility and willingness to travel to conduct field investigations for up to several weeks at a time if necessary.
Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly find solutions to complex problems and implement them when necessary.
Ability to work hands-on with the team while mentoring and managing direct reports.
Preferred
Master’s Degree and/or advanced technical training (Preferred)
NCEES Records Account with the ability to obtain multi-state P.E. Licensure (Preferred)
