Responsibilities
Design and architect enterprise-level solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring alignment with business requirements, scalability, and best practices.
Develop detailed architectural blueprints for complex cloud environments, including hybrid and multi-cloud solutions.
Guide the selection and implementation of GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
Act as the primary technical advisor for GCP-related projects, providing mentorship to engineering teams and stakeholders.
Lead cloud migrations, modernizations, and greenfield implementations from inception to completion.
Ensure security, compliance, and governance protocols are embedded in cloud architectures.
Monitor and optimize GCP environments for cost efficiency, performance, and reliability.
Conduct regular reviews and audits of existing architectures to identify opportunities for improvement.
Partner with business units, developers, and operations teams to understand objectives and translate them into actionable cloud strategies.
Present complex cloud solutions to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
Collaborate with Google Cloud engineers and third-party vendors to deliver robust solutions.
Stay updated with emerging GCP technologies and industry trends.
Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and guidelines for cloud architecture and development.
Experiment with new GCP features and tools to evaluate potential business benefits.

Required
Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering, with at least 5 years in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Proven expertise in GCP services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring.
Strong understanding of cloud-native application architectures, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and microservices.
Deep knowledge of cloud security principles, including encryption, identity management, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting and performance tuning complex systems.
Proficiency in programming and scripting languages like Python, Go, or Java.
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.
Preferred
Google Cloud certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer are highly preferred.
Experience in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitOps) and CI/CD pipelines.
Background in data engineering, analytics, or machine learning on GCP.
