Responsibilities

Demonstrate strong visual design skills with the ability to combine various design principles like color theory, typography, contrast, balance, repetition, and alignment.

Manage multiple projects from concept through completion under tight deadlines.

Expertly communicate in verbal, written, and visual forms.

Follow creative design guidance and instruction to help ensure all work meets brand standards and quality expectations.

Research the latest presentation, web, motion, print, and environmental design trends to help inform design decisions.

Help evolve and define brand imagery and guidelines and build standardization across all marketing channels.

Translate client insights and performance data into design concepts.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to realize a creative vision for the Marathon brand.

Work independently while maintaining excellent ongoing status communication.

Partner with leaders in various departments to understand business objectives and provide creative solutions.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as graphic design or marketing

Minimum of 5 years’ experience with demonstrated expertise in the areas of presentation design, layout, graphic design, typography, print design, interactive design, user-centered experience design, marketing and the creative process

Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of mediums

Expert-level proficiency with design software including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop

Working familiarity with other Creative Suite software such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, XD, etc.
