Responsibilities

Support the design, deployment, and operations of a large-scale global Oracle cloud computing environment (OCI).
Lead the testing and selection of optics / active cabling driving requirements across different service teams.
Organize project technical milestones & supporting tasks, coordinating efforts of engineers.
Advise project/program manager and coordinate with leadership, collaborating across teams within the same org and outside of org.
Serve as technical SME in cross-functional activities, responsible for decomposing high-level architectures into detailed designs.
Lead multiple engineers in developing network solutions with complex interactions, ensuring solutions are properly supported by monitoring and automation systems.
Act as specialized escalation for all optics and cabling issues within networking, drive the systematic resolution of complex network design issues.
Provide guidance to technical and senior technical staff, interpret input from leaders, and provide development to junior members.
Collaborate with vendor engineering and account manager, participate in the development of RFQ/RFPs, and lead the adoption of new vendor hardware.
Drive technology to meet product and service requirements, participate in coordinated communication with product teams and networking leadership.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in hardware development
Experience in selection, test, qualification, and support of optical / connectivity products within Network Engineering
Experience in low level performance testing and selection of Pluggable optics, AOCs, DACs, and other connectivity mediums
Experience in leading testing and selection of optics / active cabling
Experience in decomposing high-level architectures into detailed designs
Knowledge of cabling and optical standards, cable plant design, low level test and qualification practices, vendor and quality management systems
Experience in developing network solutions consisting of multiple modules with complex interactions
Experience in collaborating with vendor engineering and account manager
Experience in participating in the development of RFQ/RFPs
Experience in driving technology to meet product and service requirements
Experience in coordinating communication with product teams, networking leadership, and PMO

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
