Responsibilities
Provide expert legal advice and counsel in support of business activities and transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Represent the organization in criminal and civil proceedings, negotiations, and other legal matters as required.
Conduct thorough research and interpret existing laws and regulations, as well as anticipated changes, to guide informed decision-making and mitigate risks.
Stay updated on legal trends and developments relevant to the organization’s operations.
Prepare, review, and negotiate various agreements, contracts, and legal documents to ensure they align with organizational goals and legal standards.
Ensure all documentation is accurate, organized, and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
Oversee and manage litigation processes, including coordinating with external counsel when necessary, to protect the organization’s interests.
Develop litigation strategies and provide guidance on potential legal risks related to ongoing cases.
Advise on compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, identifying potential legal risks and developing strategies to address them.
Establish and maintain legal policies and procedures to promote a culture of compliance within the organization.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business planning and operational processes.
Provide training and support to staff on legal matters, fostering a proactive approach to compliance and risk management.
Demonstrate strong documentation and organizational skills to manage multiple legal projects and priorities effectively.
Maintain accurate records of all legal matters, ensuring timely responses to legal inquiries and adherence to deadlines.

Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the State Bar.
Proven experience in corporate law, litigation, and regulatory compliance of 5+ years.
Experience with international and national aviation industry
Experience with private equity owned companies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
Familiarity with government and private sector operations.
Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects independently.
Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Preferred
Active or previous DoD TS clearance a plus
