Responsibilities

Focus on lean systems and methods for manufacturing—value-added operations, minimizing waste, short production systems, small-lot material strategies, and focusing on the operator and safety.

Design and optimize factory layouts using AutoCAD, focusing on production lines and supporting functions to improve safety, density, and flow.

Develop factory simulation/modeling plans to develop efficient flow paths and optimize space utilization through data-driven analysis.

Work with process engineers to determine standard times for operations with MOST methodology, MTM, or MODAPTS.

Support all necessary PFMEAs and required control plans based on known DFMEA and Process definitions.

Led cross-functional efforts to ensure layout designs align with Seurat’s strategic goals, facilitating seamless integration between production, material flow, and construction.

Manage layout design projects from conception through completion, including timeline setting, progress monitoring, and stakeholder communication.

Employ 3D modeling software for space visualization and allocation and utilize analytics to drive layout improvements and innovation.

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field, with at least five years of relevant experience emphasizing factory or production line layout design.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with 3D modeling and simulation software such as Autodesk or Siemens Tecnomatix.

Strong analytical skills with experience in process optimization and the ability to develop systems-level solutions for complex problems.

Experience with manufacturing equipment and production processes, including machining, assembly, and automation.

Extensive knowledge of Industrial engineering principles and methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.

Excellent conflict management, communication, and organizational skills managing tight deadlines and competing demands in a high-pressure environment.

Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in factory design and process optimization.
