Responsibilities

Lead or participate in computer security and operational incident response activities

Conduct technical investigation of security-related incidents and post-incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategies

Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions related to firewalls and firewall management systems

Design, document, test, maintain, and implement solutions for automating security tools and firewall management systems

Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives

Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required

5+ years of information security engineering experience

3+ years' experience managing Next-Generation Firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.)

2+ years' experience in designing, deploying, managing, and troubleshooting complex NGFW solutions in large environments

2+ years' experience in using automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, XSOAR, Skybox, etc)

Knowledge of programming and scripting languages (Python)

Fundamental knowledge of networks and networking

Advanced knowledge of information security and security principles

Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed

Preferred

Automation Platforms: Experience with automation platforms (such as Ansible, Puppet, etc)

Automation & Scripting: Proficient in scripting languages, particularly Python, for automating security tasks related to firewall management, log analysis, and incident response. Experience with additional scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) is a plus

Cloud Security: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their native security controls. Familiarity with cloud security best practices and tools

Industry recognized security certifications

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
