Responsibilities
Strategically plan and oversee the architecture and implementation of infrastructure and various cloud-based technologies, including Networking, AWS, Backup tools, DLP, SSO, MDM, Directory Services, Email & Email Protection, SIEM tools, Firewalls, Endpoint Protection, and Microsoft security and compliance tools.
Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive infrastructure and cybersecurity standards, policies, and controls.
Ensure compliance with internal and external security policies, fostering an environment where employees, clients, and vendors uphold adherence to cybersecurity guidelines.
Oversee and guide infrastructure and cybersecurity operations and technologies, proactively ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
Assist in monitoring cybersecurity operations, responding to potential threats and alerts, and developing standards and guidelines for response and remediation.
Design and implement robust processes and practices which include asset management, patch management, vulnerability management, privileged access management, monitoring, alert handling, security awareness training, phish testing, and data backup and disaster recovery.
Lead collaboration with internal teams, service providers, and clients to deliver necessary services, manage contracts, and uphold service-level agreements while ensuring alignment with company goals.
Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to guide the development and continuous improvement of the organization’s comprehensive cybersecurity program
Serve as an advisory lead on cybersecurity matters, ensuring the integration of security into all key process designs and system architectures.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Drive collaboration between the engineering, operations, and service desk teams to achieve successful outcomes of projects and operational goals.
Champion a culture of security awareness, promoting company-wide/departmental information security training and awareness programs.

Required
7+ years of experience in developing infrastructure, managing IT solutions and projects, and implementing cybersecurity measures.
Advanced technical background in networking, virtualization, cloud computing, data centers, systems security, and application security.
Proficiency in Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) tools, endpoint detection and response tools, vulnerability management suites, and various security solutions.
Knowledge of information security frameworks, best practices, and administrative, physical, and technical safeguards, with experience in common security frameworks such as NIST preferred.
Experience with incident response management, next-gen firewalls, web application firewalls, multi-factor authentication, data loss prevention, and disaster recovery.
Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills with active listening abilities.
Preferred
Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), quality guidelines (GxP), and The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a plus.
