Responsibilities
Ensure that the CBTC project is compliant with the contract, the system requirements, and the local electrical regulations.
Design and instruct subcontractor designers on routing cables within technical rooms and along the track system.
Manage technical interfaces between engineering installation works and technological Systems/subsystems.
Apply quality procedures for document emissions at every design stage.
Identify critical project issues and propose mitigation actions.
Represent the Installation engineering team and support design choices with the client.
Seal documents and drawings prepared as part of professional engineering services.
Use Bluebeam and CAD software for interface definition and management.

Required
5 up to 10 years' experience of Electrical Works in the Railway Engineering context especially developed in the area of construction and installation Design. Additional expertise in the railways context is considered a plus.
Electrical California Licensed Professional Certification is required. Certified in California PE in Electrical Engineering.
Solid experience in rail context with managing wayside installation design and routing cables along the track and within the technical rooms.
Survey field locations and gather information for the existing infrastructure to complete the installation design when necessary
Ability to identify, understand, and overcome installation challenges when developing the design
Size pathways and raceway, considering existing conditions and filling
Familiar with the Requirement Traceability Matrix and the Interface Registers tools.
Design management of contractors and sub-contractor activities: contract requirements and design processes-control;
Demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines and are self-motivated;
Possess the ability to adapt well to changes in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;
Must be able to proficiently use AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) (Autodesk Revit or 3D software are considered a plus).
Electrical Engineering University Degree or Equivalent Technical Background
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Sensitive Security Information (SSI) Clearance.
Preferred
Previous experience in construction is a plus.
