Responsibilities

Participates in and administers the design, build and implementation of the interfaces within Renown Health System.

Design and build interfaces between Renown's internal applications as well as external vendor applications.

Work with the Interface Coordinator to set priorities on projects.

Some vendor interaction to resolve issues related to the core applications may be required.

Provide instruction and mentoring to Interface Engineers.

Determine optimum interface procedures, including transfer protocols and formats.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration or other Healthcare field will receive preference, but not required.

Requires the ability to read, write and speak English.

Minimum of two (2) years experience with interface design, development and maintenance, including HL7, X12 and/or XML protocols.

Three (3) years experience in Epic EMR build, design and implementation with an understanding of interfaces.

Incumbent is required to become EPIC Certified. Ongoing maintenance of certification is required for continued employment.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
