Responsibilities

Deliver on specific tasks for new product development, sustaining engineering, and cost reduction projects
Create design, coding, and specification documentation to support defined requirements
Operate within an Agile development environment
Update and track project deliverables using Agile tools
Produce high-quality code to meet defined requirements
Collaborate with both domestic and offshore technical leads
Actively participate in code reviews and design discussions
Engage with external groups such as product management and technical support
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
10+ years of embedded firmware design experience, including inter-process communications (IPC), semaphores, queues, multi-threading, and sockets
7+ years of C/C++ experience in commercially available products
Project lifecycle experience
Proficiency in Agile development methodologies, including Kanban and SCRUM
Experience with various microprocessors and compilers (e.g., x86, ARM, MSP430, ez80)
Knowledge of Linux and control algorithms
Authorization to work in the U.S. (sponsorship not provided)

Preferred

Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
Object-Oriented programming and design experience
Working knowledge of security and communications protocols (e.g., OWASP, TCP/IP, MODBUS, BACnet, MQTT)
Experience with VxWorks, RTOS, and the HVAC/R industry
Familiarity with Pawn Language
