Responsibilities

Project Execution: Utilize appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, waterfall) based on the project type and scope to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of technology projects. Continuously assess and improve project management processes within the organization.

Project Delivery Leadership: Utilize and optimize project governance frameworks and facilitate project prioritization and resource allocation. Ensure approved projects are delivered on time and within budget to defined success criteria.

Risk Management & Issue Resolution: Proactively identify potential risks and challenges in project execution, particularly in technology integration and acquisition processes. Proactively develop mitigation strategies to ensure projects remain on track.

Technology Integration for Acquisitions: Manage the technical integration of systems, applications, and processes post-acquisition. Ensure the seamless merging of infrastructure, data systems, and operational technologies while minimizing disruptions to business operations.

Business and Technical Process Mapping: Lead, facilitate, and execute business and technical process mapping exercises, ensuring the direct creation of process maps that capture current and future states, and ensuring alignment across stakeholders, departments, and systems during project execution and integration efforts.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Oversee vendor relationships pursuant to the project portfolio, and performance monitoring to ensure project success. Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate effective communication at all levels of the organization.

Soft Skills & Leadership: Cultivate strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Provide leadership in high-pressure situations, ensuring successful project outcomes through diplomacy, teamwork, and effective communication.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaison between business and technical teams, managing communication across departments such as IT, operations, and finance as appropriate to support the project portfolio. Collaborate closely with leadership to ensure alignment on project goals and resources.

Organizational Effectiveness & Acquisition Integration: Actively support successful execution of organizational effectiveness/change management efforts by workstreams during acquisitions, ensuring smooth transitions for employees and systems while maintaining business continuity.

Strategic Technology Planning: Actively support the alignment of business objectives with technology initiatives, identifying innovative opportunities to improve operational efficiency and enhance digital transformation.

Business Case Development: Take ownership of developing business case documentation with project sponsors, including the identification of KPIs targeted for improvement by a project and modeling the financial costs/befits of a project.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field required.

8+ years of experience managing large-scale technology projects, including acquisition integration and digital transformation.

Proven experience in managing project portfolios and contributing to governance frameworks.

Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and finance.

Experience managing vendor contracts and relationships in a technology-focused environment.

Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to senior executives and lead cross-functional teams.

High level of technical proficiency and understanding of IT systems, software integration, and enterprise applications.

Exceptional vendor management skills, with experience in contract negotiation and performance oversight.

Expertise in tools such as SmartSheet, DevOps, MS Project, or similar project management software.

Preferred

Master’s degree preferred.

Successful track record leading system integration projects in a healthcare environment, preferably with clinical systems.

Experience with IT infrastructure and operations modernization efforts, including cloud migration, IAM automation, and optimizing Microsoft 365 security and compliance suite.

Understanding of data lake architectures and delivery of analytics projects.

PMP certification preferred. Additional certifications in Agile, SCRUM, or Lean methodologies are highly desirable.

General experience working in healthcare setting or specialty pharmacy environment.

Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and healthcare IT solutions.
