Responsibilities
Evaluating deep learning approaches (including transformers) for embedding, retrieval, classification, and generative use cases.
Responsible for building, deploying, and monitoring reliable, scalable production machine learning systems.
Writing and maintaining codebases for data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment will be a critical part of their role.
Providing best practice guidance to junior engineers in software and machine learning will contribute to team success.
Work closely with diverse stakeholders, including product managers, clinicians, and technical leadership.

Required
A minimum of 3 years in applied ML within the industry.
Degree in computer science, machine learning, mathematics, or a related field.
Clear understanding of model building, maintenance, and optimization for production use. Expertise in Python and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch).
Hands-on experience with deep learning models (e.g., transformers) for natural language processing (NLP) tasks.
Preferred
Exposure to Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) or generative AI.
Knowledge of SageMaker Studio and Neptune.
Familiarity with ElasticSearch
Experience working with unstructured healthcare data (e.g., clinical notes).
